Guesthouse 21 - Berlin

Overview

This accommodation is more like a home than a hotel where you have use of the kitchen and can eat breakfast around the table with the other guests and your hosts.

The building is from the late 1800's but the rooms are renovated, naturally. However they do boast their original floors, ornamented ceilings and beautiful corner room coal ovens. Depending on the day of the week you can book a room here somewhere between €35-49 for a single, €55-69 for a double and €65-85 for a three bed room.

In traditional B & B fashion, you are invited to take in breakfast at home, with your hosts. Daniel and Maik are there every morning to accommodated your every breakfast need plus general chit chat and advice on seeing Berlin.

The communal lounge area has two computers the guests are free to use, the breakfast room has a kitchen available for private cooking if you'd rather eat in and the two large bathrooms are to be shared by all guests. But this is a cosy place with only a few rooms so it's never going to be overcrowded.

The location is a bonus as it's on Martin-Luther-Straße, in the centre of a well-known gay area of Berlin, and surrounded by gay bars, clubs, restaurant, and close to the train station and famous shopping centres.
