Bars in Mitte

If you are after a sports bar, dance bar, singles bar, gay bar, cigar bar, backpacker bar or karaoke bar, you will find what you need in Berlin. Some are open 24 hours so you can finish your Berlin partying experience watching the sunrise.

Berlin’s Bars vary in size and style, so depending on your mood you can find a secret door to a modern room with silver furnishings and beautiful people, or a smoky little living room where the music is low and the conversation hushed. Check out My Destinations list of bars for an unforgettable Berlin evening.

The KINGKONGKLUB is one of Berlin's last authentic clubs. With live music and a stack of DJs along with the awesome atmosphere it's famous for, this club should definitely be high on your to do list.

Clärchens Ballhaus

A Berlin institution, Clärchens Ballhaus is the place to go for swing, salsa, tango, waltz or cha cha dancing. They also serve great food and have a lovely beer garden open in the summer.

C-base Raumstation

C-base isn't a bar, it's an authentic hacker space, and one of the coolest you'll ever see. Nerds and geeks unite, collaborate, and drink on the mothership, decked out just like a space station.

Oxymoron, located in the beautiful Art Nouveau courtyard, the Hackeschen Höfe, can satisfy all your needs, from breakfast or coffee, lunch and dinner, or late night club!

A cosy artists' hangout, Hackbarth's has a long and interesting Berlin history and a welcoming vibe. After dark, there's eclectic music, well-priced drinks, and plenty of regulars.

Z-Bar is the place to be if you enjoy cult films, strange readings, intimate stage shows, as well as great drinks and an awesome Berlin atmosphere.
