Weihnachtsmarkt am Gedachtniskirche Market - Berlin
The Weihnachtsmarkt am Gedachtniskirche runs between the Zoologischer Gartens (Berlin Zoo) and the Kaiser Wilhelm Gedachtniskirche (memorial church). In fact it runs around the church which makes it feel a lot like a city market and a bit more enclosed than many of the other markets in town situated in large squares of already free space.
Around 160 wooden huts and stalls sell the traditional Christmas market fare: crafts, decorations, toys, clothes and trinkets while the tasty food and drink will keep you warm and cosy when it starts to get a bit chillier outside. A small carousel for the kiddies is available whilst the adults drink eggnog and mulled wine and watch the people roll by on Kurfüstendamm.
