New Year's Eve Events in Berlin
The NYE options in Berlin seem endless - Here are my hot tips for a guaranteed night to remember
People from around the world travel to Berlin specifically to join in the festivities of the city’s most fabulous New Years Eve. At the end of December, despite the winter chill, you’ll find Berlin full of happy people eager to celebrate and a city eager to party.
There are all sorts of places to go on NYE, or Silvester as they call it here, in Berlin. From parks to private parties, boats to clubs, restaurants to exclusive bars.
Here we have listed a few from a range of locations and budgets that are sure to tickle someone’s fancy and have you prepared for a great night out to bring in the new year.
One of the largest open-air celebrations in the world takes place between the Brandeburger Tor (Brandenburg Gate) and the Siegessäule (Victory Collumn) on Straße des 17. Juli in Tiergarten.
This huge street party has been an 18 year long tradition in Berlin and people love being in the open air, taking advantage of the live music on three different stages, party tents, food and drink stalls, lazer shows as well as an unforgettable fireworks display above their heads.
Live music starts at 9.30pm on the big stage and there are large screens all the way to the Victory Column if you find yourself not being able to get to the front. This year, acts like Frida Gold, The Overtones and the Trans-Sibearian Orchestra are playing then at 12.30, after the fireworks, a DJ jumps on to get you dancing till the sun comes up.
Best of all, this 2km long party is free of charge! Be warned, the place will be absolutely packed and full of happy people.
Extra Tip: There is of course security and bags are checked on entry. No Fireworks, bottles or sharp objects are allowed into the gated area.
Entrances are located on Ebertstraße/Scheidemannstraße, Ebertstraße/Behrenstraße, Yitzhak-Rabin-Straße, Bellevueallee/Kleiner Stern, Straße des 17. Juni/Großer Stern

If perhaps you would like to stay indoors and bring in a touch of old fashioned glamour to your Berlin New Year Eve festivities, then book a ticket at the Asphalpt club for a roaring 1920’s style evening.
This decadent party is hosted by DOM Pérignon champagne, which will give you a first indication of the style and the price of this evening.
Asphalt is a great club, bar and restaurant in Gendarmenmarkt that will serve you a full 4 course meal including oysters, lobster, Black Angus Beef and a super rich desert that will only add to the already oozing atmosphere of the party. Doors open for dinner at 7.30 pm and will be accompanied by a live swing band and a traditional burlesque show by artists Eliza Delite and Lada Redstar. If you’ve not seen live burlesque before, it is truly an exquisite and entertaining, old fashioned risque show experience.
At 11.00, the clubbing starts.
The club has 3 floors where you can switch from tunes by resident DJ’s to hip hop and R&B, or if you are sticking to your 1920’s guns, a floor dedicated to playing vinyls from the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s. (You must be dressed up in theme to gain entry to this room)
Tickets range from €39-€159. This is a wonderfully themed event for those looking for an evening of decadence with luxurious food, classic music, fishnet stockings and fedora hats, plus of course champagne, champagne, champagne!!!!!
Extra Tip: Its easiest to buy your tickets on line through the website. Or if you are in the area, directly at the Asphalt Office (Charlottenstraße. 66 Berlin)

The Kulturbrauerei in Prenzlauer Berg is known for some pretty cool things: The Lucia Christmas Market; the on-site movie cinema; artist spaces; independent theatre; as well as all the shops, restaurants and businesses located there. However, this huge courtyard of an old brewery, comprised of 20 connected buildings built in 1878, is most well known for its legendary New Years Eve party.
This is set to be one explosive party night this year. Three entrances to the courtyard, fifteen different dance floors held in different clubs and over 30 DJ’s. Clubs like Frannz Club, Machinenhaus, Ramba Zamba, Moon Club and Pool & Cigars all open their doors, or there is a live performance by cover band ‘Right Now’ in the Kesselhaus, plus location favourites Club 23 and the SODA Club.
The celebration at the Kulturbrauerei gives you lost of choice, many music styles in lots of locations indoor and then the outdoor courtyard for the countdown and fireworks. But the best bit is how affordable it is. Tickets are only €29 EACH! Best to buy online on the website.
One ticket for 15 clubs and everything else within the old brewery’s doors, sounds like a good deal to us!
Extra Tip: Doors open at 7pm and DJs start at 8. Beforehand, grab a bite to eat locally in Prenzlauer Berg so you are not too far away from the action.

For New Years Even in Berlin, it’s a wonderful thing to be wined and dined in style in a fancy restaurant before you kick up your heels at an awesome club. If these two locations are in the same place its even better. That place is Felix Club Restaurant.
Doors open at the Felix restaurant at 8pm for a grand fondue dinner with matching wine and at 11.00pm the DJs begin to bring you into the countdown mood so you can watch the fireworks at the adjacent Brandenburger Tor then head back inside to dance till sunrise.
Legendary parties have been held at this club over the years and it is a regular hang out for international celebrities. You are welcomed by a 20 meter long bar with a huge selection of drinks, a smokers lounge and VIP booths surrounding the dance floor. This feels exclusive, elegant and a touch Hollywoood.
A great thing about the party at Felix club and restaurant on NYE is that you can split the ticket. Full evening ticket with dinner is €249.00 per person and includes a glass of Roederer Brut Premier champagne. But if you are up for just the party ticket (with entry only after 11.00pm) it's only €50. This is a great option if you wish to eat elsewhere but still love the vibe and atmosphere of Felix to celebrate this years NYE.
Felix is a premium club and you will need to dress to impress to get in on a normal club night – but for these New Years celebrations the theme is "Dress as if the world is your stage". This will be a night to remember.
Extra tip: Party only €50 tickets are pre sale only – no buying at the door so get on the web!
